My Story
Let's take a trip back to the very beginning - to the roots of the 'Old-Timer Series'. These are more than just martial arts, nutrition, and fitness reels; it's the story of a life dramatically reshaped by the guiding hand of a dedicated coach.
I'm not going to sugar-coat my past; it was a relentless shit storm. When my father was diagnosed with schizophrenia, it sent our family into complete turmoil. The notion of 'home' became as fleeting as the sunrise, and with so many school changes, I half-joked that my name was 'the new kid'.
High School, however, brought a hint of order to my chaotic world, courtesy of my aunt and uncle's immense generosity. Their New Jersey home became my harbor, providing the stability I needed to focus on my studies and my passion for sports.
Then on Christmas Eve, during my freshman year, I received an unexpected gift from above: a wrestling coach showed up at the house to recruit me for the team. He was able to see past my troubles to the unrefined potential within.
This coach became the bedrock of my path. Despite a string of 14 initial losses, he stood by me, instilling values of perseverance, discipline, grit, resilience, and mental toughness that went far beyond the wrestling mat. He taught me to carry myself with pride and to never surrender to self-doubt.
By my senior year I became captain of the team, set the school record for pins, and named the best wrestler in the district. This foundation would allow me to pursue a professional MMA career and later flourish as a gym owner of multiple martial arts and fitness studios.
The 'Old-Timer' series is my tribute to his enduring impact. I'm not an actor, videographer, copywriter, or influencer. I'm a coach. The 'Old-Timer Series,' may sometimes come across as cringe, but it's my attempt to showcase a universal truth: the profound impact a coach can have on an individual's life.
A great coach doesn't just teach technique and give programs; they teach you how to believe in yourself, to see potential where you saw none, and to transform challenges into stepping stones towards your greater self.
If you're struggling, seeking direction, or in need of some guidance - reach out. I'm here to help, listen, and let you know there's always hope.
I was once lost too and know first-hand that a good coach in you're corner may make all the difference in the world.
I would like to sincerely thank you for the continued support and for sharing in this journey. Let's keep spreading the word, for you never know whose life could be touched by it.
